Ladies, grab your friends, your dates, your spouses and get ready for a fun and touching tribute to you -- women and mothers. Oh just one thing, the homage is coming from two very unlikely characters: a 6’ 6” shaven head Jewish guy from the North Shore and a leather clad, Harley-riding South Sider. In the old days they were telling stories of bear hunting, bar brawls and X-box tournaments. Now it’s pregnancy tests, birthing classes, raging mood swings and chocolate and tuna sandwiches.
Called “a new Odd Couple” by Pioneer Press, these hilarious storytellers are Metropolis Executive Director Jim Jarvis and Resident Playwright Scott Woldman. Their stories, a riot and touching. Their style, unforgettable. Their approach to pregnancy, questionable. Perfect for a ladies night out or date night. Contains strong adult language and content.
UPS for DownS will host a wine and cheese reception immediately following the performance, with the opportunity to mingle and interact with the performers, including playwright Scott Woldman and Metropolis CEO Jim Jarvis, father of a young son with Down syndrome.
